What are legal graphics?

Legal graphics are visual aids, such as charts, diagrams, timelines, maps, and animations, created to help clarify complex information in legal cases. They are typically used in courtrooms, depositions, and legal presentations to make evidence and arguments more understandable for judges, juries, and legal professionals. Legal graphics can simplify complicated data, illustrate events, and enhance the overall communication and persuasion during litigation. Professionals who specialize in legal graphics often work closely with attorneys to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Frequent feedback loops and revisions are common, as attorneys often need updates based on evolving case strategies. Effective communication skills and adaptability are key to ensuring that the visual materials accurately and compellingly support the legal team's objectives.

Job description

Seeking an experienced Legal Graphics Consultant to support litigation teams with high-impact visual presentations for trials, arbitrations, mediations, hearings, and case strategy sessions. This role is ideal for a creative professional who understands how to translate complex legal facts, timelines, damages, liability issues, technical evidence, and witness testimony into clear, persuasive, and courtroom-ready visuals.

The Legal Graphics Consultant will work closely with attorneys, trial consultants, litigation support teams, and trial technicians to develop demonstratives that help tell the client’s story effectively and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design PowerPoint presentations for openings, closings, witness examinations, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Convert complex case facts, deposition testimony, expert reports, exhibits, and documents into clean visual storytelling.
  • Prepare courtroom-ready graphics formatted for screen presentation, print boards, binders, and trial software.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and trial teams under tight deadlines.
  • Revise graphics quickly based on attorney feedback, courtroom developments, or trial strategy changes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional discretion with all case materials.
  • Ensure visuals are accurate, polished, and aligned with litigation presentation standards.
Ideal Experience

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with timelines, medical chronologies, corporate structure charts, damages graphics, accident diagrams, or expert demonstratives.
  • Ability to work with legal documents, deposition clips, exhibits, transcripts, and case themes.
  • Strong sense of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and courtroom readability.
  • Comfortable working under deadline pressure and making fast revisions.
