JOB SUMMARY:
The Utah Mammoth is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join their Creative Team for the 26/27 season. Internship runs from July until the end of the season (potential playoffs included). Working under the direction of the Senior Designer, this position will be responsible for assisting in the development and creation of various graphics across several brand touchpoints while adhering to brand guidelines. Projects range from single deliverables to multi-part campaigns and workload varies from day to day.
Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator, passionate, intuitive, hard-working, detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable in the latest trends and practices in design. Must be comfortable working on multiple projects at once, working in a team setting and independently, receive and implement feedback and offer up ideas. Candidates must provide a web or PDF design portfolio for review.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and develop visual and creative concepts and deliverables based off the needs of the project under the guidance of the Senior Designer and Art Director.
  • Assist design team with daily tasks creating various graphics for Utah Mammoth and its properties.
  • Continually develop design skills, actively ask questions and strive to learn.
  • Collaborate in a team environment and present ideas and deliverables clearly.
  • Manage all projects within our project management software and keeps priorities organized.
  • Embrace a culture of inclusion and diversity where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard.
  • Be a good teammate, contribute positively to a winning culture, and be respectful.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • REQUIRED: Web or PDF portfolio demonstrating strong and relevant graphic design skills.
  • Preferred but not required: Undergraduate Junior or Senior studying Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Able to work at the office in Sandy, UT for 20 to 25 hours per week.
  • Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, layout, and general design principles.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite on MacOS - including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work and communicate in a team environment.
  • Able to navigate quick turnarounds and short deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and once and stay organized.
  • Willingness to learn and challenge yourself.
  • Knowledge and passion for hockey is a bonus!
