Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the design and execution of motion graphics for large-scale LED environments, helping shape immersive visual experiences across our offices and events worldwide.
About the Role:
CoStar Group is seeking a talented Team Lead, LED Screen Motion Graphics Designer to guide the creative vision and execution of content for large-scale LED installations across our global office spaces. This hybrid role combines hands-on motion design with team leadership, overseeing concept development, design, and animation of immersive visual experiences that enhance our corporate buildings.
The ideal candidate is an experienced motion graphics designer with exceptional creative and technical skills, capable of managing LED content production from concept through final delivery. This role works closely with motion designers, producers, and the AV team to ensure all LED content achieves the highest standards of visual quality, technical precision, and brand consistency.
Role Overview:
Arlington, VA | In-office, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creative direction and execution of LED video wall content across CoStar Group offices, serving as the team's subject matter expert in LED motion design and display technology.
  • Conceptualize, design, and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics for large-scale video installations.
  • Develop concepts and visual treatments that align with brand standards and company objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with LED screen stakeholders including Marketing, Internal Communications and AV department.
  • Work independently to manage complex projects and meet deadlines, often with quick turnaround.
  • Experiment with the latest AI tools as well as stay up to date on motion graphics, animation, and video wall technology trends.
  • Maintain organized project files and workflows to ensure efficient collaboration and long-term asset management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university
  • Minimum 12+ years' experience as a 2D/3D motion designer or animator at an agency, professional sports team, Fortune 500 brand or equivalent.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and either Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with Unreal Engine, Blender, or Houdini is a strong plus.
  • Deep technical knowledge of motion design workflows, rendering pipelines, and LED system optimization.
  • Experience leading creative projects and providing creative direction within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to balance creative vision with technical execution under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.
  • Portfolio submission required. Each project should include a brief role summary and tools used. Reel must demonstrate a mastery of 2D/3D work and storytelling.
