Position Title: Contract Manager (IT Procurement & Commercial Contracts)
Location: Vienna, VA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite)
Clearance Requirements: None
Position Status: 6-Month Contract (Opportunity for Extension)
Pay Rate: $60/HR ON W2
Position Description
Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support a high-performing procurement organization responsible for negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts for technology and business services. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in IT contracting, contract negotiations, procurement strategy, vendor management, SaaS agreements, cloud services, and commercial contract administration.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of contract law, acquisition planning, pricing analysis, and risk mitigation while partnering closely with business stakeholders, procurement teams, legal counsel, and vendors to ensure successful contract execution and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the negotiation, drafting, review, execution, and administration of commercial contracts for goods and services.
  • Manage contracts involving:

  • Develop acquisition strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with internal business stakeholders to define contract requirements, milestones, deliverables, and procurement strategies.
  • Analyze vendor proposals, pricing models, and cost structures to determine reasonableness and maximize value.
  • Lead negotiations involving pricing, legal terms, service levels, deliverables, renewals, amendments, and contract modifications.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance, and business teams to identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Interpret contract provisions and provide guidance to internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support vendor relationship management by resolving contractual issues and ensuring compliance with negotiated terms.
  • Manage contract closeout activities, renewals, modifications, and terminations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Communicate contract status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively develop practical business solutions.
