Familiarity with legal research databases (such as Westlaw or LexisNexis), legal document preparation software, and learning management systems is typically required. What are Legal Assistant Instructors?

Legal Assistant Instructors are professionals who teach courses and provide training to students aspiring to become legal assistants or paralegals. They design curriculum, deliver lectures, and guide students through legal concepts, research, and practical skills required in legal settings. Strong communication skills and familiarity with legal software are also important for teaching effectively.

What degree do I need to be a legal assistant?

A legal assistant typically needs at least a high school diploma or equivalent; however, many employers prefer candidates with an associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
