Key Responsibilities
Juniata College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach one or more of the following courses beginning in the Fall 2026 semester:
• Business Law (undergraduate, in-person)
• Financial Management I (undergraduate, in-person)
• Production and Operations Management (graduate, online **Applicants must reside in Pennsylvania or an approved U.S. state where the college is authorized to employ remote staff. We are unable to consider candidates located outside of these areas or outside the United States. )
Applicants are encouraged to indicate which course(s) they are qualified and interested in teaching.
The undergraduate courses are taught on Juniata's campus in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. A hybrid option would be considered if necessary. The graduate course is delivered online through the College's graduate programs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Teach Business Law or Financial Management I in a face-to-face classroom setting.
  • Teach Production and Operations Management in an online graduate format.
  • Prepare course materials, syllabi, assignments, and assessments consistent with departmental learning outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments.
  • Submit final grades and fulfill other instructional responsibilities in accordance with College policies.
  • Work collaboratively with department faculty to ensure course quality and consistency.

Position Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach business courses effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Supervision Required/Given
This position reports to the Accounting, Business, and Economics Department Chair.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate (Ph.D., DBA, JD, or other appropriate terminal degree) in a related field.
  • Professional experience in business, finance, operations, or law.
  • Prior college teaching experience in both traditional classroom and online environments.
  • Experience using a learning management system (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
