The American Leather factory is unique to the furniture industry, allowing us to create custom luxury furniture right here in Dallas, Texas, and deliver via our retail partners to consumers' homes in about 30 days. SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Cutting Supervisor or Lead, the Leather/Fabric Cutter is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Fabric Cutting and Leather Cutting tables. Employees are required to work a full work week and be flexible for overtime as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn the correct use of system switching on and off.
  • Give you an explanation of how a traveler should read in order to generate a

order in the system, for example if it has 2 colors, if it has welt cord, if it brings

additional instructions to follow, etc.

  • Provide a manual that explains in detail the most common defects and the areas where each of the defects mentioned in the manual are acceptable.
  • Providing the necessary tools to efficiently execute the work
  • of nesting, as they are sash, knee pads, silver pen and Tijeras.
  • He was given a tour of the entire plant showing him the result that he will manage
  • his work as a nester and explaining in detail the pieces that must always be clean (prime), (partial show) and (hidden).
  • Correct use and management of machine control in the nesting area

  • Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools including staple guns

  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (non-climate controlled)
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.

Protective eyewear, ear plugs and safety gloves as required

  • Ability to read diagrams and drawings
  • Ability to read a tape measure
