Position Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for marketing and leasing apartment homes while providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents. This position manages the leasing process, supports daily office operations, maintains accurate leasing records, and helps ensure the community achieves occupancy, retention, and resident satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist prospective residents, providing professional and informative community tours.
  • Explain lease terms, pricing, amenities, and community policies.
  • Process rental applications, lease agreements, and resident documentation accurately.
  • Maintain resident files and update unit availability in property management software.
  • Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and resident communications.
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and maintenance requests.
  • Assist with rent collections and administrative office duties.
  • Build positive relationships with residents while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Support marketing and leasing initiatives to maximize occupancy.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • One (1) year of leasing, sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous multifamily property management experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
