MCPP: Learning, Training, & Onboarding Specialist

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

The Learning, Training & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for creating a seamless and engaging employee experience from pre-employment through onboarding, orientation, and ongoing learning. This role serves as a key point of contact for new hires, coordinating onboarding activities, facilitating orientation programs, managing training initiatives, tracking continuing education and compliance requirements, providing benefits education and enrollment support, administering employment eligibility verification (Form I-9), and supporting onboarding-related technology needs.

The Specialist works closely with organizational leaders to ensure employees have the tools, resources, training, and support needed to succeed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, technologically savvy, and passionate about employee development and engagement. Experience with Workday and learning management systems is highly preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in onboarding, training coordination, HR administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Workday or other Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience facilitating new hire orientation and employee training programs.
  • Experience conducting Form I-9 verification and employment compliance activities.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Basic IT troubleshooting and technical support experience.
