We are looking for an innovative and hands-on IT Manager to be part of our team.

Job Description
  • Deploy and maintain a suitable infrastructure for the data team - ensure it will run reliably for the needs of the team
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Must be fluent in Unix/Linux administration, VPN administration, general networking, network file system (NFS) server/client, network file caching, ZFS file system
  • Must be fluent in bash shell scripts and python language, cloud infrastructure tools (AWS/GCP)
  • Familiarity with distributed file systems, file server optimizations for deep learning purposes, backup/restore between LAN and WAN and cloud, automated system configurations (Ansible, Chef or Puppet), firewall configuration, linux virtual machine management, best DevOps practices
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience, 10+ years of experience preferred
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
  • Start up experience highly preferred
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with HPC (High performance computing) and managing 50+ servers
  • Professional certificates such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator are also a big plus
