Job description

Company Overview
Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.
Overview
The Learning Systems & Analytics Intern will support the Learning Technology team in the administration, maintenance, reporting, and continuous improvement of the company's Learning Management System (LMS). This role focuses on day-to-day LMS operations, including user management, course setup, enrollments, reporting, and intake request management, while also supporting learning data analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning systems, data analysis, and business intelligence tools, with experience using SQL and data visualization platforms such as Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon Redshift.
This role provides hands-on experience in LMS administration, learning analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making, with opportunities to support system enhancements and ongoing initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee LMS administration and daily operations, including user management, course setup, enrollments, reporting, and intake request management

  • Assist in updating and maintaining Learning Technology documentation, including SOPs, guidelines, and best practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for end-user support, responding to questions and resolving basic LMS issues
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze learning reports and dashboards to provide insights into training participation, completion, compliance, and effectiveness
  • Extract, validate, and analyze learning data using SQL and reporting tools to support business and learning initiatives
  • Follow established safety procedures and organizational guidelines in all work activities
  • Perform other duties and support additional learning technology initiatives as assigned

Required
  • Undergraduate class standing of 3rd year or higher including graduate student or recent graduate
  • Has completed or is pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Instructional Technology or a related field
  • Basic proficiency in SQL for data extraction, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience working with data using spreadsheet or workflow tools (e.g., Excel, SmartSheet, Google Sheets)
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, Amazon Redshift).
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data visualizations to support business decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desired
  • Hands on experience working with systems/tools (e.g., LMS, HRIS, or internal tools)
  • Experience with Moodle, Totara, or similar open-source LMS platforms
  • Familiarity with system integrations, including APIs and data exchange between systems
  • Experience with Databricks for data analysis, reporting, or data engineering workflows.
  • Foundational knowledge of databases and software development principles
  • Experience with UX design, web design, HTML, CSS or Java Script
