Job description

Operations Specialist

Description -

Join the Operations and Logistics team in HP's Operations, Planning, and Industrial Engineering organization responsible for new product introductions in Home and Office. As the Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for prototype lot management including but not limited to order creation and tracking, allocation of materials, prioritization, and status reporting. The Operations Specialist acts as a liaison between Engineering and Operations as it relates to prototype order management and oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, prepares, and ensures accuracy of manufacturing systems product flows or final assembly business processes as they relate to material starts for production
  • Allocates, prioritizes, and tracks material throughout production lifecycle
  • Collaborates with partners and stakeholders to resolve issues impacting manufacturing operations.
  • Monitors hold-time violations and proactively requests disposition or transfer to storage
  • Tracks TIP approval and implementation routing, clarifying ownership and next steps.
  • Key interface between engineering and operations to coordinate requests for R&D builds within assembly operations
  • Make recommendations that will impact efficiency across manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinates shipments between sites (e.g., Singapore and Corvallis), selects appropriate procurement paths, and escalates inefficiencies.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically 2-4 years of experience in an operations support function

The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $69,000 USD annually. (applies to United
