About the role

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Training & Development Lead to our Frankston team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, delivering and continuously improving training programs across Community Care. You will provide high-quality, accessible learning that supports staff capability, service excellence and meets regulatory requirements, while applying best practices in adult learning and ensuring alignment with relevant standards.

Salary: $90,962.92 - $97,875.15 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time employment)

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain engaging, accessible learning resources that meet adult learning principles and WCAG accessibility standards
  • Facilitate learning in a way that supports diverse learners, including those with disability or English as an additional language
  • Guide, coach, and support staff to achieve learning outcomes and demonstrate competency
  • Provide advice and support to managers and teams on learning and development solutions
  • Demonstrate effective project management, including prioritisation, scheduling, and monitoring deliverables
  • Participate in audits, validation, and moderation processes, addressing issues promptly
  • Ensure accurate use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and organisational databases

Key skills and experience
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent
  • Relevant qualification in disability sector or demonstrable equivalent and recent training industry experience
  • Proven experience and/or knowledge in aged and community care programs including Support at Home, HACC - PYY, Support for Carers, and/or community connections
  • Well-developed working knowledge of Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, other databases, and customer relationship management programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively network with a range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence
