Position Summary

The Learning Manager serves as a Department Leader for the Learning and Development function responsible for Learning Management System (LMS), learning operations, and learning program management. The Manager will be responsible for project management, development, maintenance and delivery of the learning management system, reporting, system access, and learning tools. The manager will support department trainers, LMS users and global admins on the LMS navigation, set-up and experience. The Manager leads and develops a team of Learning Advisors. The primary focus of this role is to manage a Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and learning system products or tools and assist with troubleshooting, adoption and project manage any improvement, changes or enhancements. Additionally, The Manager will serve a business thought partner and work with global teams and business leaders: multi-layered business leaders and individual contributors throughout the organization to help identify learning objectives, and learning experiences that align with our business goals, process operation and talent development needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Learning Advisors, create team development plans, job descriptions, career pathing and deliver learning experiences for team.
  • Manage Employee Lifecycle Process: Interview, hire, onboard, performance manage, EE development, discipline, recognition, termination.
  • Responsible for team Employee Engagement and Experience.
  • Manage Learning Management System, reporting dashboards, System Admin Permissions, user data feeds, SCORM, and content uploads.
  • Manage and audit learning user data and present monthly and quarterly outcomes.
  • Design, build and maintain learning system pages, user interface, for global standardization.
  • Manage and audit content and subscription access for learning materials through learning vendors.
  • Manage learning EE learning Badge and incentive program.
  • Partner with business units, various levels of leadership, and stakeholders, and maintain relationships for system access and learning experiences.
  • Conduct needs analysis, analyze responsibilities, skills, capabilities, and performance needs, and propose targeted learning solutions to close gaps, evolve capability, and align with business objectives.
  • Design, build and maintain global learning standard tools, and SOPs.
  • Conduct and facilitate virtual and in-person training, practice labs, and workshops for department trainers.
  • Collaborate with global teams to explore new tools, methods, and technologies for improved learning experiences and project manage system and tool implementation.
  • This role requires regular on-site attendance due to the need for real-time collaboration, access to secure systems and environments, and effective coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Travel both domestic and internationally may be required occasionally to attend team onsite meetings, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions. This may include air travel, ground transportation (including cars, taxis, or rideshare services), and in some cases potential public transportation.


Marginal Functions

  • Become LMS certified and/ or complete LMS administration training to serve as subject matter expert of the Learning Management system.
  • Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients.
  • Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department.
  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and learning system products or tools. Primary responsibility.
  • 5+ years of Learning Operations.
  • 2+ years of Leadership/ Management experience.
  • 5+ years in corporate learning, instructional design or equivalent and department/business partnerships.
  • This role requires a valid, non-restrictive driver's license as it involves regular travel to client sites and company locations.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally on occasion.


Required Licenses and/or Certifications

Learning, Human Resources, Association for Talent Development (ATD) or SHRM Certification or equivalent preferred or ability to obtain.
