Purpose of Role
The Lead, Learning & Development is a hands-on expert responsible for designing and delivering high-impact learning experiences for Under Armour's global Corporate and Distribution teammates. This role is focused on instructional design and facilitation, owning the end-to-end development of training programs and leading delivery across in-person and virtual environments. You will partner closely with business leaders to translate priorities into scalable, engaging learning solutions that drive capability and performance.
Your Impact
Instructional Design & Facilitation (Primary Focus)
• Design, develop, and facilitate learning solutions using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies across formats including instructor-led training, eLearning, job aids, and multimedia assets
• Build scalable global learning programs aligned to business priorities and workforce needs
• Continuously evaluate and improve training content and learner experience
Leadership Development
• Coordinate the global delivery of UA's manager training and elective leadership development program(s) for all Sr. Managers and below managing pre-work, communications, logistics, facilitation, vendor requests, meeting space, and planned events with global HR Business Partners.
• Continually assess and update content, assess leadership development training needs, and innovate UA's manager training and training materials to ensure it is relevant and deliverable to front-line people managers globally, i.e. Leading UA Forward.
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for UA's manager training program with internal and external partners to ensure consistent, high-quality facilitation of the course content in multiple languages as required.
• Source and partner with external vendors and subject matter experts to provide unique leadership development experiences aligned to our business strategy and address leadership gaps for Sr. Manager and below leaders if/as needed.
Core and Functional Skills
• This individual will play the primary role in determining the instructor-led training programs available for Under Armour teammates globally.
• Identify training needs using a data-driven approach by consulting with stakeholders, conducting needs assessments, and analyzing workforce plans.
• Manage the quality of program/content design and delivery while ensuring a measurement strategy is in place to assess the effectiveness of the core skill curriculum.
• Oversee the training budget assigned for programs managed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Organization Development or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a corporate training function.
• Licenses/Certifications: Instructional design certificate preferred
• Experience in course development software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) required
• Visual design skills (e.g.,Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva) recommended
• Knowledge of learning and development best practices.
• Instructional Design expertise and experience.
• Strong project and program management skills.
• Learning Management System (LMS) experience - SAP Successfactors preferred
• Ability to articulate how learning and development can support business strategy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
• Builds strong cross-functional relationships to co-create solutions and achieve goals.
• Ability to influence others by asking questions with curiosity and providing recommendations using expertise.

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD.• Return to Work Designation: 4 days per week in office

Base Compensation
$100,000.00-$135,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
