In this role, you'll work alongside our Organizational Development Manager to gain valuable exposure to the day-to-day operations of Learning and Development. You'll have opportunities to:Â
- Coordinate training programs and learning eventsÂ
- Support training communications and logisticsÂ
- Assist with learning management system administrationÂ
- Help evaluate training effectiveness and learner feedbackÂ
- Contribute to the development of training content and resourcesÂ
As part of your internship experience, you'll also have the opportunity to facilitate a dedicated section of our new manager training program. With coaching, feedback, and support from the team, you'll develop confidence in public speaking, learner engagement, and training delivery while making a meaningful contribution to the growth and success of our employees.Â

- This position may require your attendance at other Town facilities.Â
Pay Range InformationÂ
    Hiring Range:      Â
    $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr Â

Duties And Responsibilities:Â Â
Training Coordination, Communication, and LogisticsÂ
- Assist with training communications, including monthly training updates and upcoming session announcementsÂ
- Assist with scheduling training sessions including booking rooms, scheduling guest facilitators, and sending calendar invitesÂ
- Assist with room setup, lunch ordering, and onsite training logisticsÂ
- Assist with recording vendor training sessions when applicableÂ
- Follow up with participants regarding training prework requirementsÂ
- Track attendance and mark training completions in Paycom LearningÂ
- Assist with ordering training materials and preparing course materialsÂ
Learning Management System (LMS) and Administrative SupportÂ
- Run LMS reports and respond to general L&D inquiriesÂ
- Update training records and manually mark course completions when necessaryÂ
- Maintain and update organizational training resources (Insight team wheels and SharePoint content)Â
- Support post-training administration, including marking attendance and tracking completion Â
Training and Development Program EvaluationÂ
- Create and distribute Microsoft Forms for 360 evaluations and post-learning evaluationsÂ
- Monitor evaluation responses and support follow-up communicationÂ
Content and Program SupportÂ
- Assist with redesign and updates to the L&D SharePoint siteÂ
- Support development of e-learning content depending on experience and interestÂ
- Provide general program support to ensure smooth delivery of learning initiativesÂ
Senior Staff Leadership ExposureÂ
- Attend one senior staff weekly meeting to give an update on a topic or project that Learning and Development is working on.Â
- Attend one Council meeting to gain exposure how local government worksÂ
Minimum Qualifications:Â
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)Â
- One year of administrative and/or customer service experience in general customer service, business, HR or a related field.Â
- Pursuit of a degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Adult Learning, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or Human Resources will substitute for the one year of experience. Â
