Job description

Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
Job Summary
The School of Business seeks qualified Part-Time Instructors to teach online and face to face courses in Healthcare Management at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering student engagement, and supporting the academic mission of the University.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in Healthcare Management in accordance with the approved curriculum and course learning outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, lectures, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental and accreditation standards.
  • Engage students through effective instructional strategies, discussions, and applied learning activities.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Hold office hours or provide reasonable availability for student consultation.
  • Use the university's learning management system (LMS) to post materials, communicate with students, and submit grades.
  • Adhere to university policies, academic integrity standards, and deadlines.
  • Participate in required training, orientation, and assessment activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in healthcare management from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core concepts in healthcare management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to student-cantered teaching and inclusive learning practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in related discipline.
  • Prior college or university teaching experience.
  • Professional or industry experience in Healthcare Management.
  • Experience in teaching online courses.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and instructional technology.
