What You'll Do

As the Training and Development Specialist, you'll help shape the employee experience by supporting learning and development initiatives across the organization. 


Learning & Development

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging training programs that support employee growth and organizational success 
  • Develop training materials, facilitator guides, presentations, and learning resources 
  • Assist with onboarding and new employee development programs 
  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences 

Leadership & Performance Support

  • Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities 
  • Support "Train-the-Trainer" initiatives that build internal leadership capability 
  • Help develop programs that strengthen customer service, leadership, safety, and operational effectiveness 
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development 

Training Operations & Analytics

  • Track employee participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes 
  • Maintain training records and reporting databases 
  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics 
  • Assist in identifying key indicators that demonstrate training success 

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Research and implement innovative learning technologies and training methods 
  • Stay current on industry trends, training platforms, and best practices 
  • Support learning systems and tools such as Grace Hill, RealPage, Opiniion, ZUMA, and other organizational platforms 
  • Travel locally to communities to provide in-person training and coaching support 

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of multifamily industry experience 
  • Valid state driver's license 
  • Ability to speak, write, and read fluently in English and Spanish 

Preferred Experience

  • Designing and delivering employee training programs 
  • Developing instructional materials and learning content 
  • Facilitating classroom, virtual, and hands-on training sessions 
  • Supporting leadership development and onboarding programs 

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Learning management systems and training platforms 
  • Property management software such as RealPage or similar systems 
  • Virtual learning and presentation technologies
