Learning & Development Specialist
Position Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist plays a key role in delivering an engaging and seamless learning experience for employees across the organization. This position partners closely with leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to coordinate training programs, design learning content, and support program delivery, while owning the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
This role encourages creativity, high organization, tech-savviness, and passion about helping others learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Support
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external training programs, including scheduling, communications, and attendance tracking
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external training vendors
  • Collect learner feedback and support evaluation reporting for continuous improvement
  • Develop and coordinate engagement activities that reinforce learning objectives
Content Creation & Instructional Design
  • Partner with leaders and SMEs to design and develop learning materials (e.g., instructor-led training, eLearning modules, microlearning, job aids)
  • Utilize content tools and resources, including OpenSesame library materials
  • Maintain feedback and evaluation mechanisms to measure learning effectiveness
  • Update and refresh existing content to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) and Marketing to promote learning opportunities via email, LMS, and intranet communications
LMS Administration
  • Manage learning paths, course catalogs, enrollments, and auto-assignments within the LMS
  • Upload, test, and publish learning content
  • Track course completions, compliance records, and training data
  • Provide technical support to learners, managers, and instructors
Reporting & Insights
  • Generate and distribute learning and compliance reports
  • Support analysis of training data to identify effectiveness, trends, and improvement opportunities
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office and learning new digital tools

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in L&D or Human Resources
  • Experience administering an LMS or working with eLearning tools preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with an eagerness to learn and apply instructional design best practices
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
