Position Overview
AccuWeather is seeking a Manager of Learning & Development to join its growing HR team. This role leads the company's learning and development strategy and drives training and talent management initiatives - individual growth and development planning, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development - that build organizational capability and support long-term business success. The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees alike, fostering a culture of continuous growth and performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Learning, Training & Development
  • Develop and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Design leadership development programs and career pathing frameworks for employees at all levels
  • Lead individual growth and development planning
  • Assess organization-wide training needs and deliver programs that enhance employee skills and performance
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback, outcomes, and evolving business needs

Talent Management & Succession Planning
  • Design and lead performance management systems that drive accountability, clarity, and employee growth
  • Identify high-potential employees and partner with leaders to build succession plans for critical roles
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and career progression through targeted talent strategies
  • Facilitate talent review processes and support leadership development at all organizational levels
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform talent decisions and improve organizational effectiveness

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5-8+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on learning & development and talent management
  • Proven track record designing and implementing L&D strategies and succession planning frameworks
  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs and managing performance management cycles
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, LMS platforms, and talent analytics tools
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills
