Learning & Development Facilitator

Location: Boston, MA 02116
Duration: 9-Month Contract
Pay: $21/hr on W2

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Facilitator / Instructional Designer to deliver engaging training programs and create high-quality learning materials that support employee and leadership development. The ideal candidate will have strong facilitation and communication skills and the ability to create inclusive, interactive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate instructor-led training in in-person and virtual environments; statewide travel may be required.
  • Deliver training on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, team effectiveness, change management, conflict resolution, performance management, and inclusive workplace practices.
  • Create engaging and psychologically safe learning environments.
  • Manage group dynamics and facilitate sensitive discussions professionally.
  • Develop training materials including facilitator guides, presentations, workbooks, and job aids.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and validate training content.
  • Review participant feedback and learning data to improve training programs.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, evaluation, and training records.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating instructor-led training, workshops, or adult learning programs.
  • Experience designing instructor-led and blended learning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience addressing DEIB and other sensitive workplace topics.
  • Experience delivering leadership and management development programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coaching or supporting leaders at various organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning analytics.
  • Experience evaluating training outcomes and using data to improve programs.
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline 360 is a plus.
