You as a M&E Coordinator will:

  • Coordination of Mechanical & Electrical Scopes to ensure they comply with specifications, drawings and codes

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all on-site mechanical & electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes

  • Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems

  • Provide direction during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems

  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI's and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements

  • Assist and generate an M&E schedule for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation and inspection dates; coordinate with project schedule Track installation in the field and relate to upcoming milestone dates on schedule, be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule.

  • M&E Construction and Commissioning Schedule Development

  • Coordination of the Design/Build Mechanical Scope (Project Specific)

  • Maintain constant communication with your M&E sub trade(s) and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure that deliverables and deadlines maintained

  • Help develop M&E Scope of Work/ Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimate/ budget and related Subcontractor contracts

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have two to three years of mechanical and electrical construction experience

  • You have a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles and practices

  • You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them

  • You have a construction/engineering related degree or diploma
