Overview

Bluewater Learning is seeking a Senior Blueprint Consultant to lead client engagements focused on Reporting, Integrations, and Data strategy within enterprise learning and talent ecosystems. This role is responsible for conducting discovery, developing actionable recommendations, and delivering Blueprint documents that guide client decision‑making and implementation planning.

The Senior Consultant is expected to independently own Blueprint engagements, work directly with client stakeholders, and deliver high‑quality, defensible outputs with limited oversight.

Core Responsibilities

Blueprint Delivery Ownership

  • Own Blueprint engagements from kickoff through final delivery.
  • Plan and lead structured discovery sessions with business, L&D, HR, IT, and data stakeholders.
  • Synthesize discovery findings into clear current‑state assessments.

Analysis & Recommendations

  • Evaluate reporting, integration, and data capabilities of SaaS platforms.
  • Identify gaps, constraints, and tradeoffs between business needs and system realities.
  • Develop prioritized, actionable recommendations grounded in platform feasibility.
  • Create phased roadmaps aligned to client priorities and resourcing.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical and data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Facilitate alignment across business and technical teams.

Deliverables

  • Produce professional Blueprint documents that may include:
    • Reporting strategy and governance guidance
    • Integration and data flow considerations
    • Future‑state recommendations
    • Implementation roadmap and next steps
  • Ensure deliverables meet Bluewater quality standards and are client‑ready.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in a Business Analyst, Consultant, or Solution Advisory role.
  • Proven client‑facing consulting experience in IT, SaaS, or Learning & Development environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • SaaS reporting capabilities and limitations
    • Integration patterns and constraints
    • Data concepts and system dependencies
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Uncover and document business workflows
    • Translate requirements into practical recommendations
    • Manage multiple concurrent engagements (up to ~5)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand or similar LMS platforms.
  • Prior experience delivering roadmap or Blueprint‑style engagements.
  • Familiarity with enterprise learning ecosystems (LMS, HRIS, BI tools).

What Success Looks Like

  • Minimal escalation required to Bluewater leadership.
  • Clients clearly understand what to do next and why.
  • Blueprint deliverables are implementation‑ready and defensible.
