Graduate Lecturer/Professor of Practice
Job Description
Job Summary:
This is a non-tenure track faculty position that includes teaching graduate courses within the Department of Counseling, School Psychology, and Family Science in the NASP and ISPA accredited School Psychology Program at UNK. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to teach graduate level assessment, child development, consultation, and intervention courses within a scientist-practitioner program model. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring student projects and providing service to the department, college, university, and professional organizations.
Required Qualifications:
-Education Specialist degree from a NASP accredited School Psychology Program
-Credentialed or eligible for NDE certification as a school psychologist
-At least 5 years of experience working as a school psychologist or in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
-Terminal degree in School Psychology or a related content area
-Evidence of successful graduate teaching or supervision experience
-Evidence of collaboration and mentorship with graduate student projects
-Evidence of school-based mental health service delivery
-Experience with distance learning, online course delivery methods
-Evidence of continuing education in current policies and practice in school psychology
