Location: The Learning Experience, Columbia
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM (full availability required)
Pay: Starting at $14-$15 per hour, based on experience

Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact during their earliest years? We're looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our classrooms ranging from Infants through Preschool.
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and build confidence. Whether you're comforting an infant, encouraging a toddler's curiosity, or helping preschoolers prepare for their next steps, you'll play an important role in each child's growth and development.
What You'll Do
  • Support Lead Teachers in implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, and transitions
  • Encourage positive social, emotional, and developmental growth
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow team members
  • Observe and share developmental milestones and classroom observations
  • Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere throughout the center

What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with young children is preferred but not required
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work M-F 9:00 AM-6:00 PM required
  • Early Childhood Education coursework or related education is a plus
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
  • A patient, positive, and energetic attitude
