Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience
Shape Confident Learners and Future Leaders
Are you an experienced early childhood educator who thrives on helping children reach their full potential? We're seeking a skilled, passionate, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom of children ages 3-5 through meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for future academic success.
This role is ideal for a teacher who understands that great preschool education goes beyond lesson planning. We're looking for someone who can assess children's developmental and academic needs, intentionally plan engaging learning experiences, and skillfully scaffold instruction to support a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning styles within the same classroom.
The ideal candidate is confident leading a classroom independently, effectively managing state-licensed group sizes, and creating meaningful learning experiences for children with diverse developmental needs and abilities.
What You'll Do
  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with children's individual needs and interests
  • Assess children's progress through observation, documentation, and ongoing evaluation
  • Differentiate instruction and scaffold learning experiences to support varying developmental levels and abilities
  • Create a nurturing, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration, independence, and school readiness
  • Foster children's growth across cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development domains
  • Build strong partnerships with families through consistent communication and collaboration
  • Maintain accurate classroom records and developmental documentation
  • Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure high-quality classroom practices
  • Model professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement

What We're Looking For
  • Experience teaching preschool-aged children (ages 3-5), preferably in a lead teacher role
  • Strong understanding of child development, assessment practices, and curriculum planning
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and support mixed-age and mixed-ability learners
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and engage classrooms operating within South Carolina state ratios, including up to 1:12 for younger preschoolers and 1:17 for older preschool-aged children
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive, productive learning environment while supporting individual student needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
  • Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or related educational background preferred
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
  • Availability to work either the 6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM shift as needed

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Supportive and collaborative leadership team
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and career growth
  • A classroom where your expertise, creativity, and leadership are valued
  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact during a critical stage of child development
  • A rewarding role preparing children for kindergarten and lifelong learning

This position is subject to all applicable state licensing requirements.
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
