Assistant Director
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and highly organized Assistant Director to join our leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Center Director to ensure the center provides a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for every child.
The Assistant Director plays an important role in supporting our culture by coaching staff, maintaining strong communication, and helping ensure that our programs reflect the values and standards that define Active Learning Centers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and believes that strong teams create the best experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily academic and enrichment activities that align with ALC's mission and culture
  • Ensure full compliance with PA state licensing regulations, STARS standards, and ALC policies
  • Support, mentor, and help manage teaching staff while promoting a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Act as a classroom teacher when necessary for ratio, development, and staffing needs
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with families and team members
  • Assist with program development and initiatives that support enrollment growth and program quality
  • Learn all aspects of the Director role and serve as Acting Director when needed

Qualifications
  • Degree in Education or related field (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of childcare management experience at the Director or Assistant Director level
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required background clearances
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • A commitment to building a positive, supportive workplace culture
