Job description

Job Description
The Multimedia Learning Content Producer is responsible for leading the design, capture, and production of video-first multimedia learning content for ABS learning solutions. This role focuses primarily on the media production side of learning (video recording, editing, and post-production) , while also supporting instructional design efforts to create engaging and effective training experiences. This position is based out of our Global Headquarters in the Greater Houston area with a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead video production efforts for training and development programs, including recording, editing, and post-production of curriculum content.
  • Capture high-quality video and audio for eLearning modules, training programs, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and SMEs to translate learning concepts into engaging multimedia assets using adult learning principles (ADDIE, 6Ds, etc.).
  • Plan and develop storyboards, shot lists, and media concepts to support curriculum objectives.
  • Edit video content, incorporating motion graphics, sound design, and special effects to deliver polished final products.
  • Design, create, modify, and deliver multimedia assets , including video, audio, graphics, and animations (2D/3D as appropriate).
  • Determine the most effective visual and audio formats, approaches, and delivery methods for learning content.
  • Support the development of eLearning content, including visual design, media integration, and course enhancements.
  • Maintain and organize digital media libraries and ensure all assets meet quality and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and at a high level of quality.
  • Stay current on emerging media production tools, technologies, and trends to enhance learning experiences.

What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Instructional Technology, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on multimedia and video production experience , including filming, editing, and post-production.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting instructional design or eLearning development .
  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with audio and video production tools (e.g., Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools) is required.
  • Experience in technical industries (marine, engineering, oil & gas) is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong expertise in video production , including shooting, lighting, audio capture, and editing.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory and their application to multimedia content.
  • Ability to design and develop engaging multimedia learning experiences across formats (video, web, interactive content).
  • Experience creating storyboards, scripts, and visual concepts for training content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deadlines with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with SMEs, stakeholders, and creative teams.
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D animation and multimedia tools (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Articulate Storyline or other eLearning development tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, or interactive media development is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
