Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Sales Instructor III who is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing advanced learning experiences in HVAC sales for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with instructional designers, business leaders, and subject matter experts to develop and implement performance-driven learning solutions. What you will do:

Instructional Leadership

  • Lead and facilitate advanced Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions focused on HVAC sales strategies, technical applications, and customer engagement
  • Design and deliver interactive learning experiences using role play, simulations, case studies, and performance-based assessments
  • Serve as a recognized authority in HVAC sales, guiding learners toward measurable performance outcomes
  • Develop and maintain learning assets including videos, eLearning modules, and blended learning pathways

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Act as a primary HVAC Sales subject matter expert (SME) in the development of learning content
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to identify performance gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions
  • Review, validate, and provide expert feedback on instructional materials to ensure technical accuracy and relevance

Program Management & Strategic Execution

  • Manage end-to-end learning programs across multiple modalities (ILT, VILT, blended, curated pathways)
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee program logistics including scheduling, budgeting, communications, and learner tracking
  • Analyze learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative metrics; provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement

Mentorship & Coaching

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior instructors and facilitators
  • Support professional development and instructional excellence across the training team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning & Development, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating specialized knowledge in HVAC and adult learning principles
  • 8+ years of progressive HVAC sales experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility and expertise
  • Proven success in consultative selling, including identifying customer needs and delivering tailored HVAC solutions
  • Experience with technical solutioning, integrating HVAC system knowledge into sales strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional techniques
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, sales methodologies, and customer engagement strategies
  • Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and facilitation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate learning outcomes and recommend improvements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of HVAC sales experience, with a strong track record of performance and leadership

  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior instructors or SMEs in instructional best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to align learning initiatives with sales performance metrics and business goals
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools or dashboards to measure training impact and ROI
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing relationships across departments
  • Experience designing and delivering blended learning programs using modern learning technologies (e.g., LMS platforms, virtual classrooms, eLearning authoring tools)

The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from$43.27- $73.70 an hour in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
