Job description

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions that enhance employee performance and growth. Reporting to the Director, Learning & Development, this position collaborates with business leaders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to assess learning needs, develop learning objectives, and deliver engaging and effective learning programs. The position also manages the learning management system, evaluates the impact of learning initiatives, and fosters a culture of continuous learning across the organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conduct learning needs analysis and identify skill gaps and development opportunities for employees at all levels.
  • Design and develop learning solutions using various methods and formats, such as e-learning, instructor-led, blended, micro-learning, video, etc.
  • Deliver learning solutions using effective facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Serve as the primary administrator of the Learning Management System (Docebo), overseeing system configuration, course deployment, learning paths, enrollments, reporting, analytics, integrations, user experience, and ongoing optimization to support organizational learning goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning solutions using various methods and metrics, such as feedback surveys, quizzes, tests, observations, etc.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to learners and managers to reinforce learning and support transfer of skills to the workplace.
  • Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to ensure alignment of learning solutions with business goals and strategies.
  • Research and implement best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.
  • Manage learning and development projects, budgets, and resources.
  • Manage New Hire Orientation and annual compliance training.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions.
  • Proficient in using learning management systems, authoring tools, and web conferencing platforms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) with experience administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise learning platforms. Experience with Docebo or similar cloud-based LMS solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage course creation, learning paths, enrollments, reporting, analytics, user management, and learner engagement within an LMS environment.
  • Ability to leverage LMS capabilities to drive learner engagement, track organizational development metrics, support compliance training, and provide actionable insights to business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Certification in instructional design, e-learning, or facilitation.
  • Experience in the managed print services or other business-to-business professional services industry.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities; however, supervisory responsibilities may be assigned in the future as the Learning & Development function continues to grow

Travel Requirements

This position requires regular travel (approximately 4-6 trips per year with overnight travel) to various locations within the United States. The employee must be able to travel by air, car, train, or other modes of transportation. The employee must also be able to maintain a valid driver's license. The employee is expected to adhere to the Company's travel policies and procedures, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the locations where they travel. The employee should be prepared to work flexible hours and adjust to different time zones. The travel frequency and duration may vary depending on the business needs and assignments. The employee should consult with their manager and human resources department for more details and expectations regarding travel.
