Our client is a well-established General Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout the Northeast. With a continued focus on ground-up affordable housing developments, they are seeking an experienced


Project Manager to join their team based in Stamford, Connecticut.

This role will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of ground-up multifamily affordable housing projects, from preconstruction through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of ground-up affordable housing construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and procurement.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, engineers, and municipal agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead project planning, including scheduling, cost management, and scope control.
  • Review and manage contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with field teams and Superintendents to ensure efficient execution of the work.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and maintain communication with all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and implement strategies to mitigate risk and maintain timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Prepare project reports, forecasts, and updates for senior leadership and clients.


Project Managers play a central role in coordinating teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring construction projects are completed successfully while meeting cost, time, and quality goals.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing construction projects for a General Contractor.
  • Strong experience with ground-up multifamily or affordable housing developments.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project controls.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong communication across teams.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Primavera, or similar platforms is a plus.
