Job Title: Workday Learning Analyst

Location: Corporate

Department: People Team

Job Summary: The Workday Learning Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for Workday HCM systems functionality, optimization and configuration related to the Learning domain. This position serves as a liaison between Workday HCM Systems, the Learning COE, and business stakeholders to translate learning and talent strategies into scalable, system-enabled solutions. The Analyst leads the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of learning-related functionality, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and a seamless user experience across the enterprise and technical touchpoints. As the subject matter expert; the analyst governs system standards, drives innovation, and supports broader talent and people experience processes through an agile framework.

Principal Duties:
  • Subject matter expert responsible for Learning technology solutions, independently configuring, maintaining, and optimizing system functionality to support enterprise learning programs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. Evaluate existing processes and recommend enhancements that improve scalability, automation, and user experience.
  • Design, configure, test, and maintain Learning-related business processes, condition rules, eligibility frameworks, and notifications. Analyze business impacts, identify configuration dependencies, and ensure solutions align with governance standards and downstream business processes.
  • Configure and maintain Learner Rules, Recertification Rules, Campaigns, Audiences, related custom reports and calculated fields. Validate business requirements and ensure assignment logic supports regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and accurate learner targeting.
  • Responsible for resolution of escalated issues presented by the business and through interface errors; including executing root cause analysis and identifying data points to include in data integrity validation process.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, evaluate solution alternatives, document functional requirements, and independently manage the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support of learning-related enhancements. Provide recommendations that balance business needs with system capabilities and long-term maintainability.
  • Partner with HRIS, Integration, IT, and vendor teams to support Learning-related integrations and data exchanges, including troubleshooting interface issues, validating inbound and outbound data requirements, executing testing activities, and ensuring data integrity across interconnected systems.
  • Own the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of recurring Learning processes, including compliance assignments, recurring certifications, annual learning activities, and organizational learning initiatives. Develop operational procedures and controls to ensure successful execution and audit readiness.
  • Assist team in testing upgrades and configuration changes to the system. Research production problems and provide appropriate responses. Maintain complete documentation on system processes and procedures. Plan, design & execute regression testing and introduction of required changes as new Workday releases are introduced. Responsible for reviewing Workday's weekly release and determining potential impacts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Learning and HR stakeholders by providing guidance on system capabilities, best practices, process design, and reporting solutions. Develop and deliver functional training, knowledge transfer materials, and operational documentation to support adoption and self-service capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain operational monitoring processes, audit controls, exception reporting, and system health checks. Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement through regular analysis of system activity, process metrics, and data quality indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with defined data integrity, governance, security, and audit standards by proactively monitoring system configurations, business processes, integrations, and data quality.
  • Design and develop complex reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data visualizations to support operational decision-making, compliance reporting, and business analysis.
  • Work collaboratively in an Agile delivery environment, supporting HCM, Talent, Performance and other domains, to deliver defined solutions, changes and configurations.
  • Maintain and develop a strong working relationship with business owners as a process advocate. Maintain appropriate issue tracking and manage issue resolution process. Guide the development of specifications and recommendations to mitigate risk and resolve outstanding issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR systems administration and configuration a must.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Workday HCM, Learning and Reporting a must.
  • Workday Pro Certifications in HCM, Learning, Talent or Performance preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Talent, Performance and other domains a plus
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing system configurations and leading medium-complexity enhancements from requirements through deployment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and project management practices.
