Job description

DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCES:

  • 3 plus years of experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • 3 plus years of demonstrated practical experiences in problem solving reporting, execution, achievement of goals such as PDCA, DMAIC or 8D.
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in relevant Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated practical experiences in regular reporting, data manipulation and problem solving using MS Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Excel macros or similar tools
  • 3 plus years of demonstrated practical experiences in value stream mapping and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated practical experiences in creating and executing standardized weekly reporting, measurable achievements to targets, and providing clear, concise, and visual reporting of metrics and improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to write procedures, follow procedures, train others on procedures and perform regular checkup and follow-up on those that have been trained.
  • Experience working on the manufacturing floor performing daily manual operations.
  • Experience interfacing with engineers, program managers, manufacturing supervisors and production operators.
  • Experience providing power-point presentations explaining process improvements to floor management, middle management and senior level management.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a Lean or Six Sigma program for an organization of 500 individuals for a minimum of three years
  • Has led at least 5 process improvement activities and can provide examples of the activity and the improvements
  • Has provided training and execution of 5S activities for at least 500 participants. Can explain and show the results of their activities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivering in class training of Engineers, Supervisors, Managers and operators on Lean trainings (about 1x per week)
  • Executing training and process improvement activities and meetings on manufacturing swing shift in addition to day shift (and possibly graveyard shift).
  • Guiding teams to create miniA3s, A3s, and other process improvement documents
  • Creating the detail cost savings calculations for explanation to senior management
  • Leading improvement workshops, kaizen events, chalk circles, VSM and other improvement events
  • Implementing administrative work to upload and update the Lean sharepoint
  • Organizing and facilitating the quarterly lean awards luncheon, attendees, invitation in the day shift and during swing shift
  • Organizing and leading monthly evening Lean meeting with overseas sites
