Job description

The Field Leadership Development team partners closely with senior leaders across the field and throughout Wealth Management to identify high-impact opportunities for manager development. The Strategy & Execution AVP will support the shaping of the strategic vision andhelping to leadexecution across existing and new leadership development initiatives - including in person and virtual programming. The candidate will contribute to aligning programs to business priorities, supporting stakeholder engagement, and helping to embed measurable outcomes to advance leadership excellence. The candidate will also play a key role in business management activities to make sure the team is optimizing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute toa multi-year strategic plan for manager development that aligns to organizational objectives and field leadership priorities.
  • Help translate business and talent priorities into actionable development initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to cross-functional execution to help ensure consistent messaging, efficient delivery, and strong business alignment.

Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement

  • Help define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness and inform improvements.
  • Support feedback loops and use qualitative and quantitative inputs to help enhance program design, delivery, and outcomes over time.
  • Stay informed on evolving leadership development trends and emerging practices to help keep offerings current and competitive.

Program Design and Execution Management

  • Support the design and deliveryof innovative, scalable manager development programs across manager levels, incorporating modern leadership development best practices.
  • Partner with learning partners and subject matter experts to help ensure content is relevant, practical, and aligned to organizational culture and standards.
  • Manage day to day logistics of virtual and in person programs with support of events management team.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Support budget management activitiesfor manager development initiatives, helping to promote cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
  • Assist with monitoring spend, forecasting needs, and identifying opportunities to optimize vendor, content, and delivery models.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent education required.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experiencepreferred.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively at all levels.
  • Proven project/program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and execution discipline.
  • Strong relationship management skills and comfort engaging with senior leaders across the organization.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
