JobSummary:

FHI 360'sProgram Manager (PM)positionprovidesprogram managementoversighttoseveral global health projects funded by the U.S. Government and other donorsacross a portfolio of countries within a geographic region. The projects span a range of technical focus areas, including HIV, global health security and outbreak response, maternal and child health, and malaria.The PM will serveas the main HQ point of contact on assigned country programs, supervise program staff in-country andberesponsible forensuring successful start-up,implementationand close-out in conjunction with in-countryteams and other FHI 360 departments.The PM will lead project start-up, workplan and budget development (in collaboration with technical and finance staff), subaward development and review, compliance and programmatic monitoring and close-out.Theywillliaise with project offices related to program management and execution; ensure compliance withinternal and external regulations; ensure completion of program while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements.They will prepare and review presentations and supportotherrelated programobjectivesand deliverables.They will superviseCountry-level Project Directors asassigned. This PM position is expected to supportprojectactivities in 3 - 5 countries ina specific geographicregion.Portfolio assignmentswill be assigned based on language skills and regional experience, andmaybe adjusted based on fundinglevel,needsand other project priorities.

Accountabilities:

ProjectManagement:

• Manages and oversees the development of projects from initiation tocompletion.

• Manages capacity building of project staff in coordinating and managing the implementation of project activities, deliveringqualityand accountability.

• Develops and delivers a project management plan encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.

• Provides guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans andpriorities,and encouraging effective teamwork.

• Develops best practices and tools for project execution andmanagement.

• Definesprojectscope,goals,anddeliverablesthatsupportbusinessgoalsandstrategic vision of management.

• Developsanddeliversprojectplans,documentation,training,presentationsandbudget proposals to management and staff.

• Identifiesandresolvesprojectissuesandimplementsimprovementplanstoensurethe project stays on schedule and within budget.

• Evaluates the progress of the project on a regularbasis.

• Builds, develops, and grows partnerships vital to the success of theproject.

• Manages the operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects in a matrixenvironment.

• Overseescountry workplanswithfocuson minimizing risk across multiple projects,monitorsbudgets,andscopetoensuresuccessfulexecutionofproject(s)deliverablesandcompletion of project(s).

• Managesthedevelopmentofprojectteamstoensurecompliancewithpoliciesand procedures; also, to develop and implement process improvement plans.

• Identifiespartnerships,opportunities,andinformationtopresenttomanagementtohelp achieve strategic goals of the company.

• Keepsabreast of the latest strategies, tools and terminologies used in project management worldwide to adopt and increase productivity

• Performs other duties asassigned.

ProjectAdministration:

• Establishes a communication schedule to updatestakeholdersincludingappropriate staffin theorganizationon the progress of the project.

• Determinesthe resources (time, money, equipment, etc.)requiredto complete theproject.

• Develops a schedule for project completion that effectivelyallocatesthe resources to the activities.

• Builds and implements the best practices for performing all tasks. Reviews the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revises the schedule asrequired.

• Determinestheobjectivesand measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.

• Executesthe project according to the projectplan.

• Authorsreportson the project for management and forfunders.

• Communicate with funders as outlined in fundingagreements.

• Develops best practices and tools for project execution andmanagement

• FinancialManagement:

• Monitorsand approvesall budgeted projectexpenditures.

• Monitorscashflowprojectionsandreportsactualcashflowandvariancetosenior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)

• Managesall project funds according to established accounting policies andprocedures.

• Provides guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans and priorities, and encouraging effective teamwork.

• Managesthedevelopmentofprojectteamstoensurecompliancewithpoliciesand procedures; also, to develop and implement process improvement plans.

• Developstoolsandtechniquesfordelegatingtasksaccordingtotheskillsofeveryteam memberand alsoto evaluate the performance of all team members.

• Ensures that all project personnel receivean appropriate orientationto the organization and the project.

Education:**

• Bachelor'sDegreeoritsInternationalEquivalentinCivilSociety,CommunicationandSocial Marketing, Economic Development, Education, the Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth orRelated Fields.

• Project Management (PM) Certificationpreferred

Experience:**

• Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience with project management principles andpractives, 2+ years of line management experiencerequired.

• Priorworkexperienceinanon-governmentalorganization(NGO),governmentagency,or private organization.

• Prior experience starting upnew programsinternationally preferred.

• Previousexperience working on global health projects including USG and PEPFAR supported programs preferred.

• Professionalproficiency(fluency preferred) in French orSpanish preferred.

• International or domestic (US) program development or project managementpreferred

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidates FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

US Based Hiring Salary Range: USD $90,000 - $110,000 annual

International hiring ranges will differ based on location
