Job Description

Patriot is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our waste collection vehicles and heavy-duty equipment are maintained and running smoothly. You will perform a variety of mechanical tasks on diesel engines, including diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure our fleet operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform diagnostic tests, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered waste management trucks and heavy equipment, including rear-load, front-load, and roll-off trucks.
  • Preventive Care: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance services, including engine checks, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements.
  • Repairs and Replacements: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and replace worn or damaged parts, such as brake systems, engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and air systems.
