Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic to help maintain our fleet, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining company assets, including equipment, tools, and vehicles, while managing costs and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicles and equipment meet all state and federal regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues in vehicles and equipment.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and maintain work records.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Complete welding, fabrication, and structural repairs
  • Respond to occasional road calls as needed 
  • Maintain accurate inventory and tracking of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, tools, and equipment.
  • Leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn software.
  • 3 years of mechanic experience required

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • DOT medical certification and hoisting license preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
  • Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, and plow trucks.
