Job Title: Document Controller III
Location: Houston, TX 77072 (Hybrid: In-office Tue, Thu, and 2nd/4th Fri)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $33.65/Hr on W-2

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Document Controller III to lead document control activities for complex, multi-discipline engineering and construction projects. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for project documentation, manage large Master Document Lists (MDL/MDR), and provide mentorship to junior staff in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Document Management: Lead document control activities for complex projects; execute workflows, revision cycles, and distribution matrices.
  • EDMS & Data Integrity: Upload deliverables into the EDMS, perform strict metadata entry, quality checks, and manage large MDLs to ensure alignment with engineering deliverables.
  • Transmittals & Workflows: Process incoming/outgoing correspondence and transmittals; coordinate formal document reviews between internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Track document status, prepare project status reports, and ensure strict compliance with contract documentation requirements and audit standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior document control staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: 4โ€“6 years of dedicated experience in document control, specifically handling complex or multi-discipline projects.
  • Language: Must be fully bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced EDMS knowledge is required; high proficiency in MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro is essential.
  • Core Skills: Strong analytical and reporting skills, excellent follow-up discipline, and the ability to interpret contract documentation requirements.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
Education
  • Minimum: High School Diploma plus at least 3 years of Document Control management experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, QA, or a related field.
