Position Overview

As a Family Law Paralegal at Leavitt Law Firm, you will be an essential part of our client service team. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful cases that help families while developing your professional skills in a supportive environment. For self-motivated paralegals with strong organizational skills, this position provides both daily variety and the satisfaction of making a difference in clients' lives.


Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive case management, including scheduling court appearances, deadlines, depositions, and client meetings
  • Serve as a point of contact with clients, providing updates and gathering information
  • Communicate professionally with opposing counsel and court personnel
  • Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, disclosure documents, and discovery
  • Manage both digital and physical file systems with meticulous attention to detail
  • Track time and maintain accurate billing records
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous paralegal experience required
  • Family law experience strongly preferred, though we welcome anyone willing to learn
  • Civil Litigation experience preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Clio practice management software a plus
  • Comfort working with Apple/Mac products
