HOTEL LAUNDRY SUPERVISOR

Salamander Middleburg | Middleburg, Virginia

Join the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond team at Salamander Middleburg, one of the nation's premier luxury resorts. We are seeking an experienced Laundry Supervisor to lead daily laundry operations and support our award-winning Housekeeping team.

This position is ideal for an individual with experience in hotel laundry, hospitality operations, housekeeping, commercial laundry, healthcare laundry, or linen services who enjoys leading teams, driving quality standards, and ensuring operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the resort's laundry facility, ensuring the timely processing of guest linens, terry, uniforms, and housekeeping inventory. This role supervises Laundry Service Professionals, maintains quality standards, supports equipment operations, and helps deliver the exceptional service standards that define the Salamander experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations in a luxury resort environment.
• Train, coach, and develop Laundry Service Professionals to achieve productivity and quality standards.
• Monitor linen processing, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and distribution activities.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and consistency.
• Maintain appropriate linen inventory levels and communicate shortages or operational concerns.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of laundry equipment and machinery.
• Promote workplace safety and compliance with OSHA, company, and departmental standards.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily workflow management.
• Support Housekeeping leadership in achieving departmental goals and service standards.
• Lead daily line-ups, coaching discussions, and team communications.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for Laundry and Housekeeping when assigned.
• Maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards and support an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, hospitality, commercial laundry, healthcare laundry, or related operational environments.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and AM/PM shifts.
