Job description

Xanitos is seeking a Bench Area Ambulatory Director in Gaithersburg, MD.

The primary job responsibility is to assist in the management of an assigned ambulatory sites Environmental Services Department under the direction and guidance of the Ambulatory Area Manager or Ambulatory Regional Director. Specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all department personnel, establishing and enforcing work standards in conjunction with the Area Manager/Regional Director, monitoring overall inventory/equipment usage, troubleshooting/problem solving, orientation/training of Department Staff, customer relations, and special project work as requested.ย  The purpose of this role is to prepare the incumbent to assume the operational duties of a department through hands-on training and managerial experience under the direction of an experienced Area Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates ability to oversee systems and processes to ensure operational objectives are achieved.ย 
  • Support Regional Director and Area Manager in conducting formal rounds with clients.ย 
  • Provide exceptional customer service including timely notification of priorities to Regional Director and communicate with clients as needed.
  • Be able to conduct, daily, weekly and monthly calls with team and clients if required.
  • Assumes responsibility for all payroll reporting and updates on employee files.ย 
  • Assumes responsibility of scheduling staff appropriately within budgeted hours.
  • Ensure that staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
  • Discipline associates when necessary, according to progressive disciplinary guidelines.
  • Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to enable each one to perform to their fullest potential.
  • Schedule and organize various activities such as, but not limited to, meetings and travel itineraries.ย 
  • Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to all client locations.

Qualifications:

  • Employees in Healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment at Xanitos, absent a legally required Medical or Religious exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via a secure online portal.ย 
  • High school diploma required. College degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Must have one to three years of supervisory experience in a service-related field with high customer/client contact.
