Job description

) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an overnight position from 3:30am-2:30pm
Performs laundering duties in compliance with guidelines and time schedules.
Sorts and washes linen according to fabric Folds linens appropriately and puts on shelves.
Distributes clean linens at the beginning of each shift.
Keeps adequate supply of detergent. Keeps linens neat and clean.
Practices safety in accordance with regulations.
Cleans lint traps in dryers 3x daily to avoid fire hazard.
Utilizes appropriate chemicals for laundering.
Demonstrates ability to use correct temperature setting for laundering purposes. Notifies supervisor promptly of any hazards.
Utilizes principles of infection control. Practices sanitary procedures in handling soiled and clean linen.
Selects appropriate wash cycles and drying times. Cleans and washes dryers.
Dusts and mops floors daily.
Washes hand frequently. Follows directions and cooperates with Maintenance and Management.
Demonstrates adaptability when reassigned and asked for assistance.
Offers constructive input for improvement.
Maintains self within limits of dress code.
Attends educational programs.
Voices concerns in the appropriate manner.
Absenteeism and tardiness are minimal. Follows the Compliance Plan of Medicare/Medicaid of Fraud and Abuse Policy.
Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as long periods of standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and laundry weighing 50 pounds or more
