The LATAM Channel Manager - Consumer is responsible for leading the strategic development, positioning, commercialization, and lifecycle management of Wahl Consumer products across Latin America.

The role acts as the regional product champion and "voice of the consumer," ensuring strong alignment between LATAM market needs and Global product strategies. This position drives category growth through product innovation, portfolio optimization, market intelligence, pricing strategy, and successful commercialization initiatives across multiple channels and countries.

KEY OUTCOMES (What Success Looks Like)

  • Successfully launch and scale consumer products aligned with LATAM market opportunities and commercial priorities.
  • Develop strategic product roadmaps that support sustainable category growth.
  • Improve portfolio performance through assortment optimization and SKU rationalization.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and product communication consistency across LATAM markets.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to support commercial decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strengthen collaboration between LATAM markets and Global Product/Marketing teams.
  • Ensure consistent product positioning, pricing, and brand communication across the region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Lead regional launches and commercialization of new consumer products in alignment with Global and LATAM teams.
  • Develop 2–3-year product roadmaps for key consumer categories.
  • Identify market opportunities through competitive benchmarking, consumer trends, and category analysis.
  • Recommend product innovations and differentiated portfolio strategies by channel and market.

Portfolio Management

  • Define assortment strategies by channel and market (Good / Better / Best segmentation).
  • Drive SKU rationalization initiatives to optimize portfolio efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor product lifecycle management, including new product introductions, transitions, and discontinued items.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies and recommend actions to improve margin and market competitiveness.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Analyze POS data, syndicated reports, and sales performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market assessments across LATAM countries.
  • Support product testing and consumer research initiatives as needed.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support line reviews, customer presentations, and commercial planning.

Commercialization & Product Execution

  • Coordinate product launch plans, timelines, and cross-functional execution.
  • Support development of promotional campaigns and product communication strategies.
  • Provide product recommendations and portfolio actions based on sales, profitability, and market performance data.
  • Support country teams with product materials, catalogs, and commercial presentations.

Brand & Packaging Management

  • Review and approve product packaging artwork aligned with brand standards and communication hierarchy.
  • Support regional compliance, certifications, and packaging requirements.
  • Ensure consistent product messaging and positioning across LATAM markets and channels.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with global product, engineering, design, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with LATAM Managing Directors and Sales Leaders on long-term business initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes related to product management and commercialization.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • Experience in consumer goods, beauty, professional products, electronics, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of LATAM consumer and retail market dynamics.
  • Experience managing product launches and product lifecycle processes.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and presentation tools; Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global and regional teams.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Availability to travel internationally within LATAM (up to 25%).
