Job Overview

The Sales & Client Care Representative is responsible for managing client relationships from initial sale through ongoing services and is the main point of contact for clients in Landscape Services. This role involves acquiring new clients, increasing department revenue, and providing exemplary customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Generate bid estimates and sales on maintenance, irrigation service, enhancement, and mowing projects
  • Maintain sales volume by staying current on client needs, trends, and any local competitors
  • Achieve weekly/monthly/annual sales goals for department
  • Communicate details of estimates and scopes of work to appropriate Production Manager(s)
  • Conduct client presentations, meetings, and on-site visits/walkthroughs to discuss scope of work and achieve sale
  • Inform clients of property issues and involve them in necessary decision making
  • Manage effective and reliable communication with clients as single point of contact for service matrix
  • Prepare proposals, renewals, and contracts that meet the gross profit margin goal for each product or service offered, which includes labor hours and materials to complete each job
  • Create and maintain detailed scopes of work for each site and task to be completed
  • Participate in routine sales training and development, staying abreast of industry trends
  • Monitor and assist in invoicing process and assuring payment from clients
  • Assist Production Manager(s) for job costing Garden Care sites
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with Production Manager and admin team to ensure communication of department(s)
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or related field, preferred
  • 3+ years of sales experience in landscape industry
  • Knowledge and proficiency in landscape terminology, plant material, and installation techniques
  • Strong ability to multi-task and exercise efficiencies in time management
  • Superior interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues, doing so with excellent written and verbal communication practices
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Word & Outlook
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability to meet client needs and deadlines
  • Valid drivers license; CDL with Class C endorsement, preferred
