ASE Master Certified Independent technicians are welcome to apply!
We seek highly skilled and motivated certified Land Rover technicians to join our team at JLR of Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina. Our service department is growing at an exponential rate. We have increase labor hour sales by 700 hours; and are looking to increase our over all hour sales to 1800 hours per month. We have a well seasoned team of service advisors that are pushing to be the best performing store in our market. Our advisors average over 4.0 hours per customer pay repair order.ย As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, ensuring that they are safe, reliable, and meet our dealership's high-quality standards. This full-time position offers a base salary plus commission, with a pay rate of $40 to $50 per hour with increases based on performance.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $40 to $50 per hour (paid semi-monthly)

Performance based Increase:

  1. 100 hours turned = $2.50 increase
  2. 120 hours turned = additional $2.50 increase

Responsibilities:
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using dealership-approved diagnostic equipment
Providing accurate and detailed estimates for necessary repairs and obtaining approval from customers before work is performed
Following dealership and manufacturer procedures and guidelines for safety, quality, and efficiency
Completing all repair orders and proper documentation, including recording labor hours and parts used
Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on new models and technologies
Maintaining a clean and organized work area and following proper safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Jaguar and/or Land Rover brands
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must have own tools and equipment
ASE certifications and/or manufacturer training is preferred but not required
