Position: Systems Integration & Test Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
About the Role
We are looking for a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to design, implement, and validate complex electro-optic sensor systems. In this role, you will work across hardware and software domains to ensure seamless integration, testing, and performance validation of in-house and commercial components within high-reliability environments.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into scalable test solutions while balancing cost, schedule, and system constraints.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain solutions for system integration and testing of components, subsystems, and full systems.
Translate customer and program requirements into effective test strategies and executable plans.
Define functional and technical specifications, including system interfaces and input/output parameters.
Identify and resolve hardware/software integration challenges across complex systems.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system-level validation.
Evaluate system requirements for testability and ensure complete coverage through structured testing approaches.
Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and organizational functions.
Analyze test results and generate detailed validation and verification reports.
Create and manage discrepancy reports; perform regression testing to ensure effectiveness of fixes.
Support continuous improvement of test methodologies, automation frameworks, and system reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in software development using C, C++, or LabVIEW.
4-6 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
6+ years of experience in:
Test equipment design
Electronic testing
Mechanical testing
Hands-on experience with system-level integration and testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in multidisciplinary environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and National Instruments (NI) tools.
Strong programming expertise in C/C++ with experience in automated test systems.
Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware integration (e.g., switches, PXI/VXI systems, EO testing setups).
Background in developing and maintaining test systems in a high-volume production environment.
Familiarity with electro-optic sensor systems or similar complex technologies.
