Standard Job Description Job Description - ATE / TPS Engineer We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to design, develop, and support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) for sensor and missile systems. This role focuses on creating robust test solutions that ensure product performance, reliability, and producibility from development through production and sustainment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, integrate, and validate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software for missile and sensor products.

Develop, debug, and maintain Test Program Sets (TPS), including test executives, instrument drivers, and measurement algorithms. Translate system, subsystem, and component requirements into comprehensive test strategies, acceptance test procedures, and production test solutions. Select, configure, and integrate commercial and custom instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, RF sources, switching matrices, data acquisition systems)

Create and maintain test software using industry-standard environments (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, Python, or equivalent). Support production test operations, including troubleshooting test failures, root-cause analysis, yield improvement, and process optimization. Interface with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to ensure testability is designed into products.

Generate and maintain technical documentation (test plans, procedures, TPS documentation, hardware/software configuration baselines). Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and failure review boards. Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), environmental, and system-level testing as required.

Ensure compliance with applicable military standards, quality systems, and configuration management processes. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience) 8+ Years developing and supporting Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Experience developing and debugging test software (LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, C++, Python) Desired Skills Certified LabVIEW Developer or Architect Experience designing ATE and Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) utilizing mass interconnects (Virgina Panel Corp (VPC), MAC Panel) Familiarity with NI PXI Products Experience with version control (Git) or structured software development practice Experience with Agentic Coding for ATE (Ai) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
