General Labor Positions at Fontana Wood Products including banding, wrapping, grading and stacking materials in one or more departments throughout the manufacturing facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Sorts and stacks of lumber off of machine centers which includes grading, cleaning, wrapping product, banding and tagging.

  • Bands, wraps, ensures for final quality and prepares items for shipping.

  • Understands required grade/quality and inspects finished products for quality standards.

  • Understands, observes and promotes all safety policies and procedures.

  • Operates additional equipment related to production.

  • Reports production accurately through utilized programs

  • Reports work progress to Production Management.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of lumber grading

  • Basic math as it relates to lumber

  • Basic understanding of technology for the operation of electronics for inventory

Physical Demands:

  • Able to consistently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds

  • 90% of work to be performed in an environment subject weather, noise, and dust
