Job Title: PS-Systems Analyst II
Location:Southfield, MI
1+ year contract
Engagement Description:
Health Plan Business Quality Data Improvement, support Health Plan Business by enhancing HEDIS quality measures
Responsible for planning, developing, testing and implementing IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals
They identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications.
Responsible for Analyzing business requirements, propose, design and implement technical solutions.
Supports one or more moderately to highly complex business processes/systems for multiple business units.
Project team member for projects medium to large in scope and high complexity.
Responsible for analysis, design of data architecture and ETL data flows in support of enterprise HEDIS data management, analytics and reporting.
Responsible for collaborating proactively with functional analysts to translate business and application requirements into configurable component designs and solutions.
Responsible for design, programming and unit testing of application software across production support, enhancements and projects.
Responsible for design and develop technical solutions for business requirements, design and develop scalable components including packages, stored procedures, extensions, views and customizations independently or as a part of a team.
Responsible for the integration of vendor data feeds.
Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:
6+ years of data analysis experience with health plan quality improvement, managed care organization.
5+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Access, etc.)
3+ years of experience in healthcare domains - Member, Provider, Claims, LAB & EMR.
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience writing complex queries, using advanced PLSQL concepts and performance tuning.
Excellent understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements into them.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate insights
5+ years of complex SQL script writing experience
3+ years of experience with HEDIS and CMS Stars Rating System & Specifications
5 + years of experience with data profiling & analyzing large datasets
Excellent design and technical skills with Oracle PLSQL and SQL Server Development (including stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers)
Experience working with large data sets and data visualization tools.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
3+ years working with analytical software such as SAS or Tableau
Experience working with Medical Code sets - CPT, HCPCS, ICD10
Education/Certifications - Include:
Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Healthcare Information Technology or similar degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
