Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems & Automation Analyst to support the integration, automation, and optimization of manufacturing and laboratory data systems. This role will serve as a critical bridge between Operations, Quality, and IT by enabling seamless data flow across ERP systems, scheduling tools, and laboratory workflows. The ideal candidate will drive the development of automated solutions that connect production orders, scheduling, lab execution, and qualification workflows, while enabling real-time visibility through dashboards and reporting tools. This is a contract role supporting a high-impact initiative to modernize and scale data-driven operations.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Integration & Automation
• Design and implement automated data workflows connecting Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) with scheduling tools, lab workflows, and reporting systems
• Establish end-to-end data flow from production order creation, scheduling, execution, and qualification to reporting
• Integrate systems to enable real-time updates across Operations
Production Scheduling Enablement
• Develop and support a production scheduling framework/system that optimizes resources for maximum output
Improve scheduling efficiency, reducing manual coordination and delays
Data Management & Database Development
• Architect scalable databases to support production, lab, and quality workflows
• Create data pipelines to pull data from various systems and transformation to enable KPI's and ad hoc analysis
• Cleanse, standardize, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
• Develop data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance
• Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and scalability across platforms
Reporting & Visualization
• Develop Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights catered to varying audiences
• Identify issues and create actionable alerts
• Replace manual reporting processes with automated, scalable solutions
Lab Systems & Data Integration
• Support backend data integration from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon)
• Enable linkage between lab data and electronic batch records (e.g., Dozuki or equivalent systems)
• Streamline sample tracking and qualification workflows
Minimum Qualifications (must have):
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Systems, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in business systems, data analysis, or automation-focused roles
• Strong proficiency in:
o Microsoft Excel (advanced level required - macros, Power Query, complex formulas)
o SQL
o Python
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision preferred)
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Experience integrating data from laboratory systems (e.g., Chromeleon or similar platforms)
• Basic understanding of database setup and data structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, lab, and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):
