Job Description

Test Engineering Co-Op's will perform project-oriented work under the direction of test development engineers that provides support in the development and execution of manual and automated test which are used to verify the functionality of variable frequency drives.

This role is full-time on-site at the Rockwell Automation Cambridge, ON office and does not provide relocation.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design of scripts for automating test procedures

  • Document test procedures

  • Execute test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated)

  • Creation of test reports

  • Help with lab audit/improvement activities

  • Maintain documentation (Schematics, Test documents, Configuration documents)

  • Assist with build and commissioning of test hardware platforms

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university

  • Available to work a minimum of 9 months consecutively starting in September 2026

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Available to work 12 months (September 2026 - August 2027)

  • Pursuing a bachelor's of science or advanced degree in electrical engineering, or similar

  • Previous internship or co-op experience

  • Previous experience in a testing lab environment

  • Panel wiring experience

  • Exposure to AutoCAD

  • Knowledge of PLC programming and Control Systems

  • Experience with Microsoft VISIO and Access

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

  • Experience with C, .NET, VB, or equivalent

  • Use tools and lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Located within a commutable distance to the Cambridge office (50 miles or less) as this role is on-site, full-time and does not provide relocation
