Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse
Job Description
The Cath Lab is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient procedural labs dedicated to mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the Upstate New York region. Our facility features 4 Cath labs and 3 Electrophysiology (EP) labs that care for a wide range of adult and pediatric patient conditions. We have a comprehensive program including pre and post-procedural care holding areas, with a collaborative approach among RN staff and cardiovascular technologists, emphasizing exceptional patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Provide care for patients undergoing cardiac interventions, including TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures.
  • Conduct right and left heart hemodynamics and assist with vascular interventions.
  • Manage patients requiring mechanical circulatory support such as ECMO, Impella, and IABP.
  • Participate in procedures that involve structural heart interventions.
  • Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients during and after procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab environment.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
  • Trained in moderate sedation and telemetry.
  • New York State RN License required.
  • Experience in critical care or cardiac settings is essential.
  • Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment is preferred.
Schedule
This position requires flexibility, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback duties, with shift options of 3x12 hours or 4x10 hours.
